When facing your fears, it is common to experience increased heart and breathing rate, sudden sweating, shaking, freezing, or urge to flee the situation. This is your body’s fight-flight-freeze response kicking in. This is a natural response to a perceived threat or danger, however, it is not always necessary or appropriate. When using TouchPoints™ consistently when thinking about or facing your fears, overtime you may not need them in certain situations as they become less stressful because of your TouchPoints™. One of the ways BLAST work is by creating new neural pathways that help modify the memories that trigger our stress response. With continued use of TouchPoints™, these new neural pathways can build overtime, progressively reducing the release of stress related hormones related to the fear. 

When to use TouchPoints

SPOT USE:

 Use when thinking about a fear or during a scenario inflicting fear.

PREVENTATIVE USE:

If you're able to anticipate it, use 15-30 minutes prior to a scenario that causes fear.

HOW to use TouchPoints

 Before you start, rate your stress level on a scale of 1-10.

 Place TouchPoints on your wrists, ankles, clipped to pant pockets, or simply hold them in your hands.

Activate TouchPoints on the Fast/Purple setting. 

After 5 minutes, rescale your stress level. The stress/fear level should have reduced. Repeat until the fear reduces significantly.
