Can TouchPoints be used with children who have autism but are relatively low functioning?

Yes, TouchPoints can be used in this type of situation. In one case a 10 year old boy who functions but at an 18month to 2-year-old level, is nonverbal and also has C.P. and a seizure disorder found some help with TouchPoints. TouchPoints do have small parts that could cause a choking hazard so please pay extra attention to children. Most parents with children with developmental disabilities also find TouchPoints to be helpful for themselves because of the additional stress of parenting so if your child does not end up using them they still might be a good tool for any family.
