Help students self regulate, increase focus and stay in control.

USED BY OVER 100 SCHOOL DISTRICTS

Nothing can take you off-course like students struggling to self regulate. When students are impulsive or aggressive and act out, it affects everyone around them. But did you know stress and anxiety are significant drivers of these behaviors? By addressing the root cause, TouchPoints can help children regulate anxiety, hyperactivity, distractibility, and sensory problems without them having to stop what they are doing or leave the classroom.

TouchPoints change the way kids respond to stress, leading to:

INCREASED SELF REGULATION

IMPROVED FOCUS & CONCENTRATION

LESS AGGRESSION & IMPULSIVITY

IMPROVED EXECUTIVE FUNCTION

HOW SCHOOLS ARE USING TOUCHPOINTS

Over 100 schools districts across the country are using TouchPoints to help their students and staff both in the classroom and at home.
TouchPoints in Special Education

SPECIAL EDUCATION

TouchPoints are proven to lower fight/flight behaviors, which are common challenges in special education settings. A study on children with autism and developmental delays show TouchPoints reduced 72% of disruptive and self-harming behaviors.

Sensory diet activity

SENSORY DIET ACTIVITY

TouchPoints is an ideal activity to help students come down from their overloaded state and feel calm. While a lot of activities can distract others in class, TouchPoints can be worn while sitting quietly, reading a book or another activity.

TouchPoints in gifted classrooms

GIFTED CLASSROOMS

Gifted children often struggle with sensitivity and challenges like aggression and anxiety. TouchPoints can shift their stress response to calm and in control, giving them the ability to be back in control. See how one school district used TouchPoints for their gifted students.

TouchPoints in therapy

THERAPY

Different types of therapies can bring a perceived need to perform, which can make kids anxious. By reducing those feelings of stress, TouchPoints help kids focus and get the most out of their session.

TouchPoints for teacher's stress relief

TEACHERS AND STAFF

Demands on educators can often lead to stress, leading to struggles focusing, feeling in control and even sleeping. TouchPoints can be used at school or at home to provide immediate relief from these daily stresses.

TouchPoints to help with homework

TOUCHPOINTS at home

TouchPoints can have a major impact at home. They can help both kids and educators manage stress and stay calm, improve focus, manage anger/agitation, and sleep better at night. Check out our Loaner Program for how schools can facilitate at-home use.

HOW TOUCHPOINTS WORK

TouchPoints work by altering the body's stress response with scientifically-proven BLAST (Bi-lateral Alternating Stimulation Tactile) technology. BLAST uses gentle, alternating vibrations on each side of the body to shift the brain from its default "fight or flight" response to its calm and in-control response.

There are lots of ways to wear TouchPoints, as long as they are placed on the right and left side of the body. Use clothing clips to wear them on socks, straps, waistband or pockets, use wristbands for wearing them on wrists or simply hold them in the palms of hands.

Where to wear TouchPoints

FOR ACTING OUT

When student begins to display challenging behavior, ask them to hold or wear the TouchPoints for 15 minutes to help calm their fight or flight system.

FOR ANXIOUS FEELINGS

When a student is feeling anxious, have them to put on TouchPoints  sit in the reading corner or another nook in the classroom and close their eyes for 10 minutes on the blue setting.

FOR TROUBLE FOCUSING

Have the student place TouchPoints on inside of ankles during tests or periods of time while needing to focus. No limitation on time use but generally use for 45-60 minutes.

Impact on Childs' Focus and Hyperactivity

Results of a double-blind placebo controlled study shows that using TouchPoints can reduce hyperactivity and improve focus. Tracking actual movements with a sensor on PEARSON’s Quotient device shows a real-time reduction while kids and teens are engaged in a task of attention and impulsivity while tracking their movements.

What's the difference between TouchPoints Essentials, TouchPoints with Wristbands and TouchPoints for Sleep?

TouchPoints Essentials, TouchPoints with Wristbands, and TouchPoints for Sleep all use the same BLAST technology to alter the body's stress response. All three bundles provide the experience of calm, increased focus, enhanced performance, improved sleep, minimized anger, and reduced cravings. All three bundles feature the same three settings (blue - sleep/meditation, yellow - calm/focus, and purple - anger/agitation), rechargeable batteries with a 3-4 hour battery life, and are splash resistant as well.

The main difference between the different products are the accessories included.

TouchPoints Essentials come with clothing clips so you have a host of choices in where you wear your TouchPoints. Clip them on socks, straps, belt or waistband or pockets.

TouchPoints with Wristbands features sleek silicone or stainless steel wristbands for ease of access, and so that users may wear TouchPoints around the wrist. (TouchPoints with Color Wristbands provide further wristband options).

TouchPoints for Sleep features a built-in timer to allow for sleep. The Sleep bundle also includes zippered sweatbands to provide additional comfort, reduce the sound of the TouchPoints' vibrations, and so that users may wear TouchPoints around arms or ankles.

Why do you have to wear two TouchPoints?

How long do TouchPoints take to charge and how long is the battery life?

TouchPoints take 2-3 hours to charge fully. The battery life for TouchPoints is 3-4 hours depending on the settings used.

Are TouchPoints waterproof?

TouchPoints are not waterproof, however, they are sweat-resistant.
