Questions & AnswersAsk a Question
Can you adjust the Buzzies settings without using one of the presettings?
Yes, you can create your own custom settings by changing the intensity, frequencies, and overlap. Once you choose a setting, you can also name and save your favorites.
How Do I Use The Buzzies?
Place one buzzie on each wrist and secure the wristbands or remove the vibrating units from the wristbands and place one in each pocket, one in each sock, or one in each hand.
For buzzies to work, one must be on the right side of the body and one must be on the left. Buzzies do not need to be touching the skin but the skin must feel the vibration (ex. putting in pockets ok) After the buzzies are in place, turn on the app and follow the instructions.
Do I Need To Buy Two Kits? Or does the price include the two necessary devices?
Yes, the price includes two devices, one for each side of the body. In addition the Kit includes a wall charger, a charging cable that can charge both Buzzies at the same time, a carry bag, and app download from either the Apple or Android store. If you choose to wear the Buzzies all the time, you may want to purchase a srcond set to use while charging one set. Depending on the settings, buzzies should last several hours on one charge.
My kid is a swimmer but he gets terrible anxiety before and during his meets. Are the Buzzies Waterproof?
The Buzzies are not waterproof but can be used immediately preceding the swim meet before the swimming begins. Additionally the Buzzies can be worn after a meet if your child is upset about their results as a calming and coping mechanism.
How long do you use the buzzies for?
The average user wears them for 2-10 minutes. The buzzies can be used in a short duration as a preventative measure such as at the beginning of the day, or spot used before, during, and after stressful situations. User may opt to wear them for longer periods of time if desired.
Great info - will be asking my husband for these for Christmas to help with my anxiety! Also, is there any type of money-back return policy at this time?
Yes! Every Buzzies device is backed by our Buzzies Promise: We want you to be 100% satisfied with your Buzzies. If you aren't happy with them return them within 30 days for a full refund. If something isn't working with your Buzzies we offer a 1 year product warranty. Simply let us know the issue and we will resolve it quickly.
Does Buzzies only work when controlled by the app?
The app operates as a remote contol for Buzzies. We have built in an option where you can turn the Buzzies on and choose a setting and then remove the phone/tablet. You would receive an error message stating that your Buzzies have been disconnected but your Buzzies will continue to buzz. In order to turn the Buzzies off, you would need to re-pair Buzzies or manually turn the Buzzies off.
Please let us know if you have any questions!
Hi, a few questions, thank you: 1) Does daily use of Buzzies have a positive cumulative effect, such as weight training, or practicing an instrument, etc. 2) Is the vibration frequency different between the left and right? (Seems like one has a lower frequency and the other a higher one?) 3) I don't understand how Buzzies affect the brain. Can you briefly explain? 4) Would you get a similar effect from listening toibinaural beats wearing headphones? 5) Buzzies are loud and wearing them in public might be embarrassing to the user or garner unwanted attention. Any suggestions?
Hi, Thank you so much for your message! Please see responses below. :)
1) Does daily use of Buzzies have a positive cumulative effect, such as weight training, or practicing an instrument, etc. The resting state of the brain dictates what happens to incoming experiences and information. When Buzzies are on and something stressful happens, your brain will not encode it as something in the future that might set off the F3 response and, over time, it is possible that fewer things will be stressful because of continued use. This may be especially powerful in kids and adolescents whose brains are developing and not fully myelenated. We do not have longitudinal research on this yet because that requires years of follow up but are working to collaborate with top institutions to establish this. 2) Is the vibration frequency different between the left and right? (Seems like one has a lower frequency and the other a higher one?) The vibration should be the same. Some people perceive it to be different due to differences in their hemispheric perception of sensation. If you share Buzzies with a few people, see what they think and if they perceive it, too, then there may be an issue with one of the Buzzies and we can replace it for you. 3) I don't understand how Buzzies affect the brain. Can you briefly explain? Your brain is constantly integrating information from your senses (based on what is happening external to your body), internal thoughts, and input from inside your body. Introducing BLAST (bi-lateral alternating stimulation in tactile form) adds another stimulus to be integrated and your brain then seems to do something different with the other information. So if you are thinking of something stressful and your brain is automatically starting to move towards the fight, flight, or freeze (F3) response (sometimes called sympathetic nervous system activation), this interference seems to back that up and move the brain into more of the calm, rest and digest nervous system (the parasympathetic nervous system). The result is probably an increase in calming neurotransmitter activity but we need to establish that science. What we do know is that we can see a significant real-time effect when we take a quantitative electroencephalogram and we see an overall decrease in something called the amplitude of the brain wave activity in most or all areas of the brain. We are currently collaborating with Dr. Joel Lubar from the University of Tennessee to write this up and present this in a few weeks time. The findings are very significant and it matches the user experience of an almost immediate reduction in stressful body sensations (stomach tensing up, tight chest, tight muscles, etc.) along with the experience of "stressful" things then seeming less stressful in the moment and then in the future. It's very exciting and is passive and non-invasive. 4) Would you get a similar effect from listening toibinaural beats wearing headphones? Auditory stimulation such as binaural beats route through the auditory cortex, not the somatosensory cortex. This difference is important because the auditory cortex is not contralaterally organized. Prior research shows that tactile stimulation (what's used in Buzzies) is more powerful when clinicians use that vs. auditory stimulation. I think binaural beats are pleasant and can't hurt, certainly but the effect is different and not as profound according to prior research. 5) Buzzies are loud and wearing them in public might be embarrassing to the user or garner unwanted attention. Any suggestions? For discreet use, remove the center pieces from the watchbands and put in pockets, socks, or tank top straps! I use them in pockets during all of my media interviews to stay calm. You can always adjust the intensity, too, so they won't sound as loud. Some people also wrap them in cloth if they want and it will still work if it doesn't touch your skin. Sincere thanks for the thoughtful questions and I hope that is helpful! We welcome any feedback you have so we can improve Buzzies and continue to give hope, healing, and the gift of calm energy to everyone!
How to apply for having one try it free channel 15 in Arizona advertised and I'm trying to find if I can try for my son autistic

My son is 10 and suffers from mood swings and ADHD he does not have a phone but I do can i use the app and him wear them to school? He had trouble throughout the day can he wear them all day?
The app operates as the remote control for Buzzies. While you can use the app to turn them on and choose a setting, you cannot change the setting without the app. There is an option to turn Buzzies on from your phone and then send your son to school. You will receive a message in the app that says Buzzies are out of Bluetooth range. They will continue Buzzing but you will not be able to change them until you pair again. Depending on the intensity and frequency, Buzzies batteries last 2.5-4 hours continuously.
Would they work if placed in a shoe and perhaps attached to either side of a belt/band? My concern is my son would take them off or pull them out of his pockets and lose them.
Hi! Yes, Buzzies do work in a show and/or in belts. Please see our blog post on Where to wear and How to Use Buzzies at https://thetouchpointsolution.com/blogs/buzzies-blog/where-to-wear-and-how-to-use-your-buzzies

Is it waterproof??
Good Morning Corey,
Thank you for your inquiry! Unfortunately, the Buzzies are not waterproof. While they will withstand minor water such as perspiration, they will not withstand water. Please be sure to remove your Buzzies prior to bathing, swimming, or other water filled activities.
Please let us know if you have any additional question! Have a great day
