very literally, changed my life

"I am incredibly grateful for TouchPoint Solutions. I am a childhood sexual abuse survivor. Amongst many issues, I have complex PTSD and D.I.D. I also struggle with binge eating. I have worked with EMDR therapy and IFS for years and have found great success and a better understanding of my self through working these modalities. Bilateral stimulation has been key to my being able to really dig in, working through my trauma and responses to it. Over the past several months, these responses have increased in both intensity and frequency. My therapist had mentioned to me that there existed wearable EMDR "tappers". After searching online, I found TouchPoints and reached out for support through their scholarship program. Flash forward to today, 12 days of use since receiving them and I am honestly shocked and amazed by the relief I am experiencing. I have been on a regular prescription of benzos for months now, with additional doses for emergency situations. Within two days of using my TouchPoints, I didn't need to use any "emergency" pills. Over this past week I have reduced my daily amount in half. I am not a fan of medications, especially benzos. This, in and of itself, speaks volumes to the efficacy of bilateral stimulation and the benefits of being able to have easy access to it, outside of therapy sessions. Maintaining my binge eating is and always will be a struggle for me. I have implemented using the TouchPoints any time I am really overwhelmed with the impulse to eat. I can honestly say that I have stayed away from sweets since using them in this way. I am also much more cognizant of my actions and reaction to my impulses. I waited a bit longer than I intended before writing this review, as I have noticed other benefits and wanted to make sure that I was actually experiencing them and not a placebo effect. As many others have reported, I am falling asleep more easily. I've found more benefit wearing them as I'm winding down for the night, rather than when I'm actually laying down to sleep. I believe this to be the case as I am receiving the benefit of the TouchPoints, but my attention is not focused on it. Other benefits I have noted is an increase in my attention span. I seem to be able to focus and stay present more easily. Even when I am overwhelmed,I am more cognizant of my body responses (breathing, muscle tightness, etc) which helps to reduce the intensity of, or outright prevent, my dissociative episodes. One thing that I recommend is purchasing the pocketed sweatbands that can be worn around your ankles. Not only do they [reduce] the sound, but they allow you to discretely use the TouchPoints while in public. It has really helped with steadying my social anxiety at a lowered level. I do really like the appearance of them on the wristbands, however, having a techno light show performed from your wrists looks a little odd and draws a little too much undesired attention...at least for me. All in all, anyone who's alive and breathing will benefit from these. Anyone who has extra challenges in life will have a tool to aid them in handling them. I wholeheartedly believe that these are essential for anyone who has experienced trauma, who struggles with anxiety or depression, who has learning difficulties, or is in therapy. Thank you, TouchPointSolutions, for providing a tool that makes life just a bit more manageable and enjoyable. You have, very literally, changed my life."
