Separation Anxiety (Kids)
Separation anxiety in kids can trigger the body's stress response, activating the fight or flight system, which results in heightened feelings of fear and distress when separated from primary caregivers. This biological reaction is meant to protect the child by encouraging them to stay close to their caregivers for safety, however is not always useful. Use BLAST® to keep separation anxiety from becoming full-blown resistance.

When to use BLAST®:
Spot: Use as soon as your child expresses not wanting to go to school. If they get anxious at school, let them spot use TouchPoints during the day as needed.
Preventative: Use TouchPoints 15-30 minutes prior to drop off at school or day care.
How to use BLAST®:
Where: Place TouchPoints on your wrists, ankles, clipped to pant pockets, or simply hold them in your hands.
Mode: Use the Blue/Slow mode.
Timing: Leave on until child is calm.

"I just wanted to send this as I think it's important you know how your product is working. :) My son has Asperger's, Severe ADHD, and Severe Anxiety disorder. My aunt, Bonita Perskari, purchased the touchpoint wristbands for him in an effort to see if they could help him some. The changes in him since getting the Touchpoint bands have been wonderful. He willingly interacts with others now. He has had to be online schooled due to his condition and we rarely attend the field trips offered by the school because of his anxiety. After getting the bands, we saw that they had an event scheduled very near our home and I figured if it became a problem I could get him back to the comfort of home quickly so we went. He participated fully in the activities to the best of his ability and even initiated a conversation with another child completely on his own by commenting that he liked the other kid's shirt. This has NEVER happened before!!!!! While his issues are still a daily struggle of course, the bands have brought him some much needed relief. We had a dentist appointment recently (his first since getting the bands) and he did beautifully. He went back into the room by himself while I finished updating his paperwork and when I joined them he was calm as can be. He had even let them get his first ever XRays. They had seen the bands and inquired about them and he smiled and said Oh, those are my wristbands... Aren't they cool? They help me calm down. His therapists and teachers have all noted a major difference in him with and without the bands and they included them in his IEP so that he will be able to wear them during state testing next year and such. The progress he has made because of the assistance of the bands has been wonderful! After being told he would never pass a state standardized test, He PASSED his third grade tests!!! Not only passed but his final score was at the higher end!!!!! We celebrated that! He is very smart but unable to focus long enough to answer questions and deal with the anxiety that always goes with testing. The bands made it possible for him to calm down and do his best!"
