Vendor Spotlight: Arizona Industries for the Blind
As part of the Touch Point Solution's commitment to philanthropy and conscious capitalism, all TouchPoints units are fulfilled by our partner Arizona Industries for the Blind, a government agency that employs individuals who are 100% legally blind.
Arizona Industries for the Blind (AIB) provides employment and training opportunities for Arizonans who are blind. Most individuals of working age who are blind can compete successfully for jobs if they are given the opportunity to develop skills and increase their self-confidence.
AIB was established in 1952 with a mission to inspire individuals who are blind to pursue their maximum potential through creating, sustaining and improving employment while providing the highest quality products and services. United by a unique mission, the employees of AIB are committed to superior quality and 100% customer satisfaction.
Today, as a program within the Department of Economic Security, AIB is market driven and technology enabled providing quality products and services to military, government, and commercial customers. AIB operates under the AbilityOne Program and is an affiliate of National Industries for the Blind. Created in 1938, AbilityOne is a unique federal program employing nearly 48,000 Americans who are blind or have other severe disabilities, enabling them to lead more productive and independent lives.
The TouchPoint Solution relies on AIB for all of its packaging and shipping needs. We have five core values that guide our business and decisions: commitment to the cause, valuing people, efficient problem solving, giving back and maintaining a Lean/Six Sigma culture. These values are part of the reason we have chosen to hire locally for all of our production, shipping and packaging needs.
